Benefit for Adat Reyim Congregation

Join us as we help Adat Reyim Congregation raise money for their synagogue's rejuvenation campaign.  The concert on Sunday, October 15 at 3:00PM will feature guest artist Emma Resmini performing "Balkan Dances" as soloist with the flute choir. Emma has been described by NPR's Performance Today as "An amazing musician... your artistry is astounding.” She has soloed numerous times with the National Symphony, as well as the Philadelphia Orchestra, Dallas Symphony, Pittsburgh Symphony, and Shenandoah Valley Bach Festival Orchestra. She was a 2016 NPR Performance Today Young Artist In Residence, with interviews and performances airing over three days, primarily focusing on American contemporary composers. 

Tickets are required for this concert and will cost $18 if purchased in advanced and $25 at the door.  Children 18 and under are welcome to attend for free.  Childcare will be provided and a dessert reception will follow.  To obtain your ticket go to: https://www.adatreyim.org/event/RejuvenationBenefitConcert

The concert will also feature Woodbridge member Tara Nadel as soloist in Prayer for a Jewish Life, No. 1 by Ernest Bloch arranged by Francine Ross Pancost.  Other pieces that will be performed are an arrangement of Shostakovich’s Festive Overture, Umoja by Valerie Coleman, Di Rayze Nokh Amerike, arranged by Klezmer Flutist, Adrianne Greenbaum,  and Hopak by Peter Senchuk.  The concert will also feature the unique sounds of our low flute section. Groovin’ Low by Ali Ryerson, Chocolate Mousse by Nancy Wood and Contrafusion! by Paige Dashner Long are original pieces specifically written for an ensemble of alto flute, bass flute and contrabass flute.
