Debbie Gilbert, the artistic director, resides in Broad Run, Virginia near Warrenton and holds a B.M.E. from Louisiana State University. She has taught private flute lessons to youth and adults for over 30 years. She is the principal flutist with the Piedmont Symphony Orchestra and a ten-time winner in the National Flute Association’s annual Professional Flute Choir Competition. Currently she serves as on the board of directors of the Flute Society of Washington.
Debbie has studied flute with Max Schoenfeld, Jeanne Timm, Thomas Perazzoli , Toshiko Kohno and Tadeu Coelho.

Lisa Sheldone, assistant director, was principal flutist with the Beach Cities (CA) Symphony (1997/98 season) and served as assistant principal flutist in the Topanga Symphony for ten seasons.
She has also performed with the West Valley Symphony, Simi Valley Orchestra, Isreal Pops Orchestra, Hour of Power Orchestra, Agoura Hills Community Concert Band, the Mike Stanley Wind Ensemble, and in the pit orchestra for the Coneja Players and Cabrillo Music Theatre.
Among her favorite musical experiences, however, was as a member of the flute ensemble Flauto Badinage, an expandable flute chamber group that performed as a trio, quartet, and quintet throughout Southern California.
